The Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) at American University of Beirut (AUB) organised a panel discussion titled ‘Corporate Governance and Capital Markets’ as part of the 2019 Rami Makhzoumi Corporate Governance Initiative. This event took place on Tuesday 23rd April 2019, which coincided with the 8 year anniversary of Rami’s passing.
The panel discussed the importance of corporate governance to access financing, cost of capital, company valuation and performance for capital markets. Progress in corporate governance is critical in facilitating access to capital markets and helps develop capital markets over time.
